Miss Dolly is finished and her dress is complete~
Her hair is styled as a young 1800's lady.
Her hair is styled as a young 1800's lady.
The dress isn't as fancy as the what I was going for but I am pretty pleased with how it came out.
She was fun to make and is a great addition to some of the other dolls I have made.
I believe next I will be making a very large Queen Anne doll =)
Check back soon for updates~

~Working on a new little doll~
Lately I've been been itching to work on a new doll, so after some pre-planning and thought, I made a clay based head, (sorry for not taking any pictures of that part! :( ). Painted the base skin, hair color and this is what she looked like:

Then I painted the eyes, mouth, lips, cheeks and eyebrows and she started to come to life~
Next was time to make the body and attach the head to it =)
After I finished that, I began to make her arms and legs and attach those as well.
All that's left now is a wardrobe!
I hope you all enjoy seeing my new little doll, I will be posting updates soon once I have finished her wardrobe =)
Thank you for reading,

Well here we are starting our second fall/winter season and I'm again already looking out my frosty windows as it is 12 degrees in southern MN. We have had about 6" snow total so far and it is just beautiful here!!
Kirby has started working on a "winter" pattern and I'm struggling to get a Thanksgiving one punched! We spent the better part of our Saturday putting together and fluffing out a gorgeous 9 1/2 foot tall Christmas Tree that a friend gave to us for our sun room. I believe we have decided on a nature theme for that tree - so hopefully some pics in the future.

Finally, after laying a new floor, painting the walls, we finished our new sewing room! We each have a half of the room to fight over, uh *cough* I mean lovingly share like a "normal" mother and daughter would =)...
We even added a cozy little sit and stitch area!

As you can see Neo is quite happy in his basket bed (That he stole from my mom lol).
